All Roads Lead To Avignon

Up early, Sass is driving today, and Queenie has her nose in the maps.... We are off to the local Provencal Market to buy some fresh produce and peruse the local merchandise, BUT (and neither one of us is stupid) every time we take a road, and we tried every one of them, we ended up heading back to Avignon..... as our heading says, ALL roads head back to Avignon.... doesnt matter where youre coming from or going to, you are heading there!
BUT, we decided after conferring, that we would ignore all Avignon signs..... lo and behold a miracle.... we found our market town, we parked, and spent the next couple of hours smelling our way along the canals past cheese, bread, fruit, paella, salamis, olives, oils, lavenders, and herbs and spices. A beautiful place, our favorite village yet! They even had a gondola!
Our next stop was Vaison La Fontaine, a wonderfully quaint place, again with rivers, houses carved from the mountain, people hiking and kayaking... we bought a bottle of wine and sat and ate our bread and cheese purchased at the morning market while watching all the people and little dogs walk by!
Home again, where we spent the next couple of hours sitting in the pool, reading, chqtting with other vacationers..... and tomorrow is another day.... but it will probably end heading toward Avignon!!!
