Woke up bright and early hoping to get on Ted,s boat today..... had our bathing suits on and everything packed and ready to go. S sat down with Ted to help him learn some computer stuff (he,s technologically challenged!) and six hours later was still doing it!! He needed a lot of help!! Poor Q had to sit and read all day, thankfully she is in the middle of a darn good book! We also fixed his freezer, cos he didnt know how to make the ice maker work.... (I know, thats what wee thought!). Oh, and also taught him how to use the microwave....... (technologically challenged, and doesn usually have to deal with this stuff!).
Ended up not going on the boat, and went into town for dinner instead. Q and I ate Arrozo negro and fabulous Sangria..... Ted had pig!
Headed back to the villa because fireworks were planned for 10pm and we could see over the whole town to watch them..... fireworks were a little bit of a disappointment (after Mexico fireworks) but a huge disappointment to Ted.. The story is that there are two towns next to each other Lloret and Blanes. Ted lives in Llloret. Apparently each year there is an unofficial competition to see who has the best fireworks (which incidentally go off at exactly the same time!). It was very apparent within 5 minutes whose firworks were best..... and it wasnt our towns!
Carlos came over to say goodbye because it was our last night, and ended up once again regaling us with hilarious stories from his younger days...... These stories are even more hilarious because Ted had no idea it was all going on, and watching his face was a riot. We,ll retell all the Carlos tales upon our return---- too many to write on this blog.... and we,ll also tell you what "pulling a Carlos" means... weve discovered a whole new vocabulary.
To bed, earlyish again because tomorrow we travel.
Buenos Noches
